St Therese's Church Edmonton

The new church at St. Therese's Parish Edmonton has been designed to seat 450 people with the ability to expand and accommodate additional worshippers during peak liturgical events. The Church dramatically expresses itself in the surrounding neighbourhood and against an imposing backdrop of a densely vegetated mountain range. The form of the
church is achieved by the geometry of distinctive roof forms which culminate above the sanctuary with a 6 metre tall illuminated cross. The fan shaped plan form is generated by the brief requirement for a close physical relationship between the sanctuary and the congregation and the need to create overflow spaces for additional worshippers.
